Tacota LeMuel
Having previously worked as a paralegal, I was promoted to the position of law clerk for Edward J. Achrem & Associates and plan on becoming a licensed attorney. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, as well as an Associate degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology. While at the firm, I handled all aspects of our clients’ claims and cases, including extensive legal research, online investigations and background searches. I have worked directly with Mr. Achrem and have helped him prepare for depositions, court appearances and trials. I also coordinated with our expert witnesses, helped prepare our clients for deposition and assisted in all aspects of the cases the firm has handled, including legal writing and helping to prepare the legal briefs our firm has submitted to both state and federal courts, the Nevada Supreme Court, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal. Before joining the firm, I proudly served our country in the United States Air Force for 10 years, working as an F-16 jet mechanic for the Thunderbirds. I enjoy spending quality time with my son, along with running, hiking and exercising as often as my schedule permits.

I’m the senior paralegal at the law firm and have worked for Edward J. Achrem & Associates for more than eight years. Having originally attended the University of Santa Clara Paralegal program in California, I have 30+ years of plaintiff personal injury experience and provide paralegal support to Mr. Achrem. I also handle all facets of our clients’ claims and cases, from initial intake through final disbursement of settlement funds and judgments Mr. Achrem obtains at trial. I also help negotiate medical liens for our clients, to increase the amount of money they will receive at the end of their case. Because we work as a team at the firm, this allows us to constantly track the status of ongoing cases and keep our clients updated on a regular basis. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our dogs, cooking, traveling, and hosting our annual Halloween open house.

I have worked at Edward J. Achrem & Associates for more than five years. I handle numerous aspects of our clients’ claims and cases, from interacting with them on a personal basis to seeing how they’re getting along. I also deal directly with their medical providers and insurance companies, and I help negotiate the clients’ medical liens, so they will have a larger recovery. It gives me great satisfaction being able to help our clients during what for many of them is the most stressful time of their lives. It’s been great being part of a team that is focused on achieving the absolute best for all our clients. I spent a good part of my life in Southern California until I moved to Las Vegas in 1992. I’m married with four grown children who have children of their own. Prior to my employment at Edward J. Achrem & Associates, I was a tax preparer for eight years. In my spare time, my husband and I enjoy cooking together and spending quality time with our family and friends.

I’m currently a paralegal in training. With over ten years of customer service experience, I’ve been putting my skills to good use at the firm. I interview prospective clients and assist in investigating their potential claims. Mr. Achrem has told me on more than one occasion that my intakes and initial interviews are both detailed and extremely professional. By way of background, I was a barista at a local coffee establishment. As time passed, I worked my way up the chain and became a supervisor. In March 2014, I started to blaze a new trail. I worked for a third party administrator to several insurance companies all across the United States. I was trained in various aspects of the insurance process and dealt with claims ranging from Hurricane Harvey, to six car pile ups on the freeway. After nearly five years working with the insurance industry, I decided to pursue a career in the legal field and commenced my training with Edward J. Achrem and Associates. I’m committed to my job and will do whatever it takes to help our clients.
